Welcome!

My name is Cis, and I work as a social worker in the Netherlands. I am registered with SKJ (Stichting Kwaliteitsregister Jeugd).

For the past 10 years, I have worked with individuals and families with various support needs. I have worked in both youth care and specialised mental health in the role of a systemic family worker. Over the years, I have specialised in autism and trauma, among other topics. 

In 2022, Internal Family Systems (IFS) came into my life, and in 2024, I obtained the official IFS Level 1 certification in Portugal. As a result, I am allowed by the IFS Institute to work as an IFS practitioner. This gentle, healing model aligned well with my own personal and professional experience. Eventually, I started my own business. 

After completing my studies in orthopedagogy and social work, I moved to the Netherlands. I grew up in the Flemish-speaking part of Belgium but have lived for many years now in the beautiful eastern part of the Netherlands. Part of my studies was completed in New Zealand; English is not my native language, but I speak it well. I continue to develop myself and am constantly learning something new. When I am not working, I enjoy being outdoors, making music or taking photos.

In addition to IFS Gelderland, I am also the founder of 'Samen met Autisme' (www.samenmetautisme.nl); a helpful offering specifically for parents/caregivers of children with autism (website in Dutch).
